DISARTICULATED SKELETON

Model No:GIC-474

A disarticulated skeleton is a complete set of individual, separated human bones used for in-depth anatomical study, medical training, and orthopaedic simulation. Unlike articulated models, these, often made of durable PVC, allow for detailed, hands-on, 360-degree examination of individual bones. Common in education, they frequently feature a disarticulated skull (calvarium), with one hand/foot wired and the other loose.

    Key Components and Features:

    • Completeness: Usually includes all 206 (or similar) bones, often with a 3-part skull, flexible spinal column, and separate ribs.
    • Muscle Marking: Many models are painted to display muscle origins (red) and insertions (blue) for studying biomechanics.
    • Detailed Structures: Features include movable mandibles, separate teeth, and sometimes intervertebral discs.
    • Educational Use: Ideal for orthopaedic training, surgical simulations, and detailed osteology study.
