    • Standard Catheter Size (Adult): 7–8 French, 2-3 lumens, 20–30 cm in length.
    • Insertion Depths (Targeting SVC):
      • Right Internal Jugular (RIJV): 12–15 cm.
      • Left Internal Jugular (LIJV): 15–20 cm.
      • Subclavian Vein (SCV): Formula: (Height in cm / 10) - 2 cm (Right), +2 cm (Left).
    • Needle Gauge: 18-gauge introducer needle.
    • Patient Positioning: 15 to 30-degree Trendelenburg (head down) for jugular/subclavian to prevent air embolism and distend veins.
    • Anatomical Landmarks:
      • Internal Jugular (Central Approach): Apex of Sedillot's triangle (formed by sternal/clavicular heads of sternocleidomastoid and clavicle).
      • Subclavian (Infraclavicular): 1–2 cm inferior/lateral to the clavicular transition point.
      • Femoral: 1–2 cm medial to the femoral artery pulse, below the inguinal ligament.
